Stitch and Learn with Emma from What’s the Stitch:
This month, Emma from What’s the Stitch will be joining us for our Stitch and Learn. Emma recently finished stitching the viral Fendi Needlepoint bag and just launched her new website. I’m so excited to discuss the Fendi bag, her transition from finance to needlepoint, and her 2026 goals.
After leaving banking, and in an effort to make her stitching habit more affordable, Emma began designing and painting her own canvases. She shared the process on social media, and to her surprise, people started asking for her designs. Without really planning to, she found herself launching What’s the Stitch in 2024.
Today, Emma creates playful, clever, and refreshingly modern canvases that bring a sense of humor (and maybe a little sass) to a traditionally buttoned-up craft.

November Topic:
I’m excited to announce our November tutorial will be Stitch It Angels!
Stitch It Angels can prove challenging to finish since they’re on 13 mesh which doesn’t leave a lot of blank canvas to work with when finishing. The mesh is thicker and can make the overall piece bulky and disproportionate to the size of the design.
I’ll be sharing my alternative method for finishing angels which creates a thinner and more lightweight finish.
In addition, I’ll be providing my templates for the long hair angel and the angel with short hair. You’ll be able to print it out and use it to cut boards for your angels. These are the exact templates I use and they have been tested and adjusted constantly to create a shape I feel comfortable consistently using.
