2nd Christmas Market Needlepoint and Mahjong Cruise

I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching on a second Christmas Market Cruise next year! The first one sold out so quickly and I know there were several people who were not able to get on the first sailing. I hope you can join us for the second sailing. Lauren will not be able to make this one, but I will be teaching and we are lining up additional teachers as well!

You can view the itinerary HERE.

Non-needlepoint friends and family are welcome and many have signed up with their entire family. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Christmas than with your loved ones exploring various Christmas markets.

If you are interested in joining, please fill out the following form: Interest Form

Stitch and Learn with Blue Hydrangea Stitcher (August 12th at 8:30 PM ET) - Paid Subscribers

Amanda is the designer behind Blue Hydrangea Stitcher. She has been needlepointing since 2019, but crafting for as long as she can remember. Her designs are inspired by her favorite places in New England, her love of fun cars, and most importantly, her two muses—golden retrievers Blue and Sammy. Amanda lives in northern Connecticut where she is restoring an 18th century home with her husband.

Cording 101 Zoom Class (August 13th at 8:30 PM ET) - Paid Subscribers

During this class, we will cover three different methods of making cording. I will show you how to make coding using a drill, a Lacis corder, and a Kreinik hand crank. We will discuss various cording sizes, materials, and how to measure your string to ensure you create the perfect cording length.

Cricut 101 Zoom Class (August 19th at 8:30 PM ET) - Paid Subscribers

During this class, I’ll walk you through how to measure your stitched ornaments and share my formula for creating the perfect sized boards for rounds and square ornaments. I’ll walk through how to use Design Space and how to adjust your Cricut to cut various materials from fabric to chipboard. If you don’t have a Cricut and are interested in using one, check out your local library or maker space as some will have Cricuts available for use.

Finishing Clinic Zoom (August 25 at 8:30 PM ET) - Paid Subscribers

This is a dedicated time to work on finishing with other stitchers in a supportive community environment where we can freely share tips and tricks. Lita will be available to answer finishing questions and provide virtual handholding. Bring your tricky finishes for free consultation and hands on virtual help.

Housekeeping:

I know it can be hard to find certain topics.

As a reminder, the NashvilleNeedlepointer Table of Contents will be your best bet to search and find all tutorials, written guides, and uploaded recordings. I recommend bookmarking this page for quick access. On a computer, you can press “ctrl + F” or “command + F” and easily type in what you want.

Second, there is a Google calendar with the monthly events. You can view and subscribe to the calendar here to have all events show up on your personal calendar so that you never miss another event.
